RECAP OF THE EVENT
The annual January Social was unlike any other social in recent memory. Pandemic measures meant this was a virtual event but just because the way we got together changed, it certainly didn’t mean the fun had changed! The Great British Bump Off brought over 30 members together to solve the virtual whodunnit!
Tension ran high in the big white tent on Saturday, January 9th as Triangle Sisters in Crime ‘bakers’ tried to find out who offed the esteemed judge, Shaw G. Bottom, discovered dead in the judge’s tent. The bread round turned into the dead round. He was found face down into his loaf of bread with a knife sticking out of his back! The bread had a really good crust on it too.
After rounds of questions, accusations, and theories, the killer was revealed to be….Mac O’Roon (portrayed by John Olsen), the Irish pro golfer known for his patience and virtue but his patience ran out with Mr. Bottom. The esteemed yet notorious judge was once engaged to Mac’s sister and jilted her days before the wedding leaving her devastated and unable to move on. Mac O’Roon was incredibly devoted to his sister and…you know the rest!
A highlight of the event was the Quill Award presentation to this year’s very deserving member, Ann Mitchell, for all of her service to the organization and her current role as web maven for the local chapter’s website.
To honor the theme of this year’s event, a Winter Social Cookbook was created including recipes submitted from Triangle SinC members. You can download it below. Enjoy!
Until next year!
